Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was born to an U.S. Army officer in Italy and then grew up within Castle Rock Colorado. The early 1990s were when Adams began dancing professionally for the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to a regional theatre in Minnesota in which she was featured in a mock documentary film concerning beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). In Los Angeles, she pursued acting as a profession following her debut film in where she played the dizzy, but friendly contestant. She was married to actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in late 1940s after she was accepted by MGM. Her name was noticed by Norma shearer. She appeared in a range of cult films over the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) and Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
